Our breakfast was fantastic. Best diner coffee I've drank (and I drink a lot of it) perfectly cooked eggs both scrambled and over medium. Hash browns were amazing, and the pancakes were nice and fluffy. It was also fun to watch the chefs be so efficient in the small open kitchen. It's pretty small but so worth it. This will be my breakfast spot whenever I'm on the island.
I had the Black Russian turkey sandwich with fries and coleslaw. It was pretty basic, good flavor. Cheap prices and thankfully got here right at 12p when they opened back up for lunch hours so no wait time. In and out in 30 minutes. Definitely a small place.
I love the Chuckwagon. Best breakfast and lunch spot on the Island. It's small but worth the wait. So if you stop by and its full just hang tight.
We ate here for a quick lunch our first day on the island and loved it so much we had to go back for breakfast the next morning!! They close at 3 and serve breakfast until 11:00. The hamburgers and salad were delicious. The chuck wagon special was plentiful and yummy! The place is small and sometimes has a line out front but it moves quickly. You can also place an order to go and eat it at Marquette Park.
This place has to be one of the best on the island. They don't exactly have a large area, but they make the best of it. My friend and I were thoroughly impressed by the organizational skills and the delicious food they had to offer. If I find myself back on the island, definitely going to stop back in.
