When we returned it to the location we were directed to I reported the problem with the bikes chain cover making a lot of noise and I could tell it was ignored, no notes were taken. The bike was old and the bends in the cover were heavily rusted over, I'm pretty sure they just don't care.
The pricing was competitive, the 4% extra charged for use of my debit card was a bit irritating. We rented a single tandem bike that functioned fine but had bend in the chain cover in the rear that made a clanking sound.
This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. We got two single speed bikes and one tag along for our puppy, the woman apparently didn't Let us know that there was a GIGANTIC hole in the seam, we cut our bike ride short as our dog fell out of the carrier and was hurt. The woman working there had no concern whatsoever and said for us to "stop our bitching" and blames us for not doing a thorough check on it. We will never rent any bikes on the island from them again. Although they did take off a discount for the carrier it was only after I told them several times I refused to pay for it. I have never reviewed a place before but I felt compelled to warn others that this company doesn't care about safety and their customer service skills are atrocious.
Upon trying to return it the second Ryba's location that was more convenient for us we were told we had to take it to the other one two blocks down the street. If both shops are the same company we should be able to drop the bike off at either in my opinion, we shouldn't have to walk it though chaos and get charged for more time to return it in my opinion. The quick redirect and dismissal was a bigger issue to me than the policy.
Rented two cruisers with back pedal brake systems. The rental price was cheaper than some of the other places so we went here for the cruisers. Made it around the island in a little over an hour. The second hour was prorate, which was nice. I highly recommend renting a a bike and make the loop.
Terrible services. bikes are very old and some of their wheel is punked. They didn't check, just lend to people. Employees are not professional at all. Also my friend and I lent bikes each at the same time and they charged the fare in different time frame. Plus charge additional fee for credit card users. Absurd. strongly recommend to visit other rental
Nice bikes for the price, which is lower than the other places. Very friendly staff. They gave us good pointers on where to go & which bikes we should use, as I have not rode a bike in a very long time. Overall, great experiance.
My experience with Ryba's wasn't a day ruiner, just not what I expected.
