The food was good the bread was fantastic, my husbands steak was great. We had an amazing experience there celebrating our wedding the champagne was perfect so was our view. Molly our server was Amazing so attentive and very professional. Thank you for making our day special.
Wife and I have been going to Mackinac Island at least once a year for nearly 20 years. The restaurant at The Island House has been one of the primary stops each time, maybe not anymore.
What an amazing restaurant! We had amazing service from our waitress, Teagan, and a wonderful experience. The food was top notch and the atmosphere was exquisite. Highly recommended!
The view was perfect, the food was fantastic and our server, Sebastian, was wonderful. I highly recommend it.
The food was edible but not nearly the quality it once was. The salad was served with a large deep fried onion ring. Bread basket provided only upon request. The steak was cooked in some type oil and not very flavorful. All in all OK but a far cry from what it once was. The food is better than the majority of restaurants on the island, but that's not hard to do.
Not welcomed. We were looking forward to a celebration dinner. What we received was a cold welcome and absolutely no service. We sat for more than 20 minutes while Andrew casually chatted up the table directly in front of ours (~3 feet away). We left. He offered free dinner. "No thank you Andrew".
The 1st difference I noticed is all the table clothes were very wrinkled. Not nearly as elegant as it once was. The down grade in presentation of the dinning room was matched by the down grade in food and service. While the waiter was a pleasant young man, he did it all; water, drinks, salad, main course, and bus the tables.
